Michael S. Weber, "Sherbert" was born and raised near Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. Michael is a published picture book illustrator (Magination Press and Hachai Publishing), and a BFA graduate of the Chicago Art Institute. Michael once knew the privilege of working (as a general assistant) for Richard S. Barnes, who was the nephew of Charles M. Barnes, founder of Barnes and Noble. Richard (now deceased) was a literary scholar. Michael lives with his life-partner, Marian, in rural Michigan.
Michael's storytelling qualifications stem primarily from his father, Marty, who was, in a grounded and earthy sense, an exceptional showman. What Michael's father and then his friends have helped him to appreciate is a life-perspective that he has attempted to project within Muzakio by reducing its storytelling elements, concerning that which is good and that which is bad to music and noise. What!
During his youth, Michael and his father engaged in spirited discussions from time to time about what approach Michael might take towards his succeeding in a professional capacity. For example, Michael's father (who at the time was a prominent executive within the auto industry), firmly questioned Michael's then-budding resolve to attend the Chicago Art Institute. Muzakio, in its offbeat fashion, is about the very early stages of this universal conflict that most families confront when their children make a start of deciding what approach they might take to becoming healthy, wealthy, and wise.
